Boys Varsity Soccer

Last Thursday the Spartans put away Springfield Shawnee at home with a score of 3-0. Senior Jake Duncan had a pair of goals (one of them a PK) while sophomore Grayson Dowell put the explanation mark on the win with another goal. Senior captain, Dean Byers and freshman Celtan Walton we’re credited with an assist a piece. 
 
Saturday we took on nearby Wilmington and a tough morning battle. The Spartans dominated the possession game and managed to find the only goal of the game putting away the Hurricane squad with the score of 1-0. 
 
Monday the JV squad travel to Springboro in a tough rainy battle. The young Spartan squad played very well, but came up short with the score of 0-1. 
 
Tuesday the Spartans were on the road to face #2 locally ranked Bellbrook in conference game. JV came up short 0-1 while varsity suffered a 0-5 loss. 
 
Tonight the Spartans take on #1 locally ranked and #6 state ranked Oakwood at home at 7pm.
