Juniors:  Practice ACT
Monday, November 16
7:30 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.
Waynesville High School

General Information:

Waynesville High School will be administering a  “Practice ACT” to prepare for the state administered ACT in the Spring of 2021.  Administering this Practice ACT replicates a similar testing experience.  It will be graded by teachers and the scores will NOT be sent to the ACT.org.  If interested in other opportunities to prepare for the Spring administration of the official, state administered ACT, please visit the actstudent.org website.

Practice Test Day Details:

The Practice ACT (non-writing) will take about 3.5 hours.  Students will be “assigned” a testing location within Waynesville High School: the cafeteria or a specific classroom.  The assigned location for each student will be communicated at a later date.  Students must arrive at Waynesville High School before 7:30 am, as the test will begin promptly.

  • If students have their own transportation, they may leave right after the test is finished.
  • If students need busing/transportation, they will remain at WHS until 2:22 pm.
  • A school lunch can be provided for those students who need to stay until 2:22 pm.  A boxed lunch from the cafeteria includes a turkey or PBJ (non nut butter) sandwich, apple, chips, and water.
  • Bring a calculator and a pencil.
  • Look for an email from Sarah Snyder with a Google Form to fill out to communicate transportation and lunch needs.

Attendance:

Attendance is mandatory for all Waynesville High School Juniors.  We highly recommend that the WCCC and VLA students attend.
