Students in Mrs. Baker’s class have been busy prepping to cook lunch for the middle school staff on February 13th. They developed a menu of pasta, salad (with toppings), garlic bread and cookies. The staff completed a menu and returned it so that the students could tally the items that they would need to have bought at the store. Students also worked on kitchen safety with the oven and stove and cleaning up their dishes. The day of the lunch, the students helped prep items for the salad, boiled water to cook pasta, preheated the oven for the bread and cookies and learned how to use the crock pot settings for meatballs.
Students and staff enjoy the day when we have the opportunity to cook and socialize with each other.
