High School Awards Assembly & Senior Walk

Senior Walk 2018

Waynesville High School seniors gather in front of their peers during the 2017-2018 End of Year Awards Assembly.

During the assembly, awards and recognition are given for the year for the following:  

  • Writing Center Tutors
  • Quiz Team
  • National Honor Society
  • Supportive Peers Program
  • Blood Donor Recognition
  • Student Council Officers and Members
  • Academic Awards
  • Valedictorian and Saluitatorian Recognition
  • Summa cum laude, Magna cum laude, and Cum laude
  • Honor Roll and Principal's Award
  • SWBL Scholar Athlete
  • Perfect Attendance
  • First Honors Awards in Art and Visual Art, English, Foreign Language, Math, Science, Social Studies, CCP
  • Outstanding Freshmen
  • OHSAA Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award
  • Hatfield Hartsock Award
  • Male and Female Athlete of the Year
  • 22 Strong
  • WCCC Student of the Year
  • WHS Student of the Year

In addition to the many categories for recognition, we also heard messages from our class officers.  

Congratulations are offered to each of the winners and recipients.

The Seniors upheld a long-standing tradition as they strolled the hallways of each of the building during their Senior Walk.  

The hallways were lined with students of all ages as the seniors took their final walk.
