Middle School Track Headed to State

Congratulations

 

 to our Waynesville Middle School Track athletes who have qualified to compete in the prestigious OHSAA Middle School State Championship Meet this weekend!  Athletes and relay teams that are invited to compete in the State Championship Meet are ranked in the top #24 in the State of Ohio across all Divisions, making this a meet that is truly an honor to compete in!

Wade Von Handorf will be competing in the high jump, the 4x400 meter relay, and the 400 meter dash.  Wade holds the Waynesville Middle School 400 meter dash record with a blazing time of 55.97 seconds!

Alena Wooldridge will be competing in the long jump.  Alena is the Waynesville Middle School record holder in the long jump with a tremendous jump of 15’7”!

Our hurdle superstar Kelcie Grayson will be competing in both the 100 and 200 meter hurdles!
Our dynamite group of girls relay team members consisting of Lady Spartans Baylee Williams, Kelcie Grayson, Zedie Click, and Kendal Erbach will be competing in the 4x400 meter relay with our alternates being Olivia Walters, Abigail Foley, Ellie Ripperger, and Alena Wooldridge.

Our outstanding group of boys relay team members are ranked in the Top 10 in the State of Ohio and will be competing in both the 4x20 and 4x400 meter relays. Alex Amburgy, Garrett Lundy, Celtan Walton, and Ayden Boos will be competing in the 4x200 meter relay.  Alex Amburgy, Wade Von Handorf, Celtan Walton, and Ayden Boos will be competing in the 4x400 meter relay. Our alternates for these two races are Trenton Davis and Evan Mender.

We wish these athletes the best of luck as they compete in the OHSAA State Championship Meet and look forward to celebrating their hard work and success!
