WHS College and Career Week

College and Career Week took place Oct.22-26th for all WHS students to explore and learn about different educational pathways and careers.  The activities throughout the week promoted students to ask questions focused on education training, careers programs with WLS staff, community members, business partners, college counselors, and parents.

#MotivationalMonday - Kick-off, every period of the day, teachers created conversation with their students about the college they attended followed by Q and A.

#Tailor-MadeTuesday – Focused on each student’s personal career choice for the future or their personal dominate characteristic trait.  They dressed for the occasions and earned themselves ice cream for lunch.

#Well-ConnectedWednesday - Connect Homerooms worked as a team to decorate their homeroom door in a college and career theme. Congratulations to Mrs. Syvertsen and Mrs. Simpsons Connect Classes for being the top two winners.

#ThrowbackThursday - Teacher led discussions about their personal career journey and different pathways taken.  Students made connections and reflected on the many different educational avenues and careers one can travel.
