Last Monday, the graduates for the Class of 2019 gathered at the school for the Honors Assembly and their final senior walk. Sporting their official cap and gowns, the processional into the gym was a glimpse of what is yet to come at their official graduation ceremony this Sunday, May 26th.
The Honors Assembly gave recognition to all high school students having reached levels of academic achievement, first honors from academic departments, participated in various clubs and school programs, attendance awards, special athletic awards, and students fo the year to name a few.
Following the assembly, the seniors took their final walk through the halls of Waynesville Middle School and ultimately, Waynesville Elementary School, where for most, their journey began. They ended the walk in the elementary gym in the giant circle where memories were shared, comments on their experience took place, and expressions of gratitude overflowed.
Waynesville Schools wish the graduates the best of luck as they take on the next phase of their journey!
