Sinclair Community College is only 1 of 10 community colleges in the state of Ohio to be awarded a grant opportunity creating the ability to run and operate a College Sponsored Registered Apprenticeship Program. With only 7 apprentices registered, Waynesville has an ELITE TWO who are recently accepted into this program.....Senior Josh Harter and Senior Braydon Kirnec, both current students of Warren County Career Center and Waynesville High School. These 2 new apprentices will begin their apprenticeships this May with CRANE 1 and are Sinclair's first ever High School to Sinclair College Registered Apprenticeships.
Currently, both Tech Prep Students are taking academic courses at Waynesville High School and studying welding at WCCC. They will be graduating from high school while at the same time starting classes at Sinclair, of which are required on their apprenticeship.
Josh and Braydon, will be able to continue on their education while being trained on the job at CRANE 1 to help meet their workforce demands, and helping to build their future talent pipeline.
The registered apprenticeship program at Sinclair, through great partnerships with industry, ApprenticeOhio, and local High Schools, are aimed at rebuilding tomorrows workforce with Learn-to-Earn options.
Waynesville High School is a proud partner and give sincere congratulations to both Josh Harter and Braydon Kirnec on their selection into this program.
