Congratulations Madison Bell!

This year, the Scripps National Spelling Bee developed an online testing platform that allowed Waynesville Elementary School to host an online school spelling bee. In the past, our spelling bee has been for fourth and fifth grade students only.  This year we extended the invitation to all Waynesville Elementary students.
The following students participated in the spelling bee:

FIRST GRADE
Jackson Cooper

THIRD GRADE
Kohen Cooper
Emma Gremling
Mason Morris

FOURTH GRADE
Lincoln Elam
Reagan Jacobs
Alice Kolaczkowski
Kai Lawrence
Kelsey Roberts

FIFTH GRADE
Johanna Adams
Hudson Back
Madison Bell
Lauren Fessler
Stella Gremling
Cora Roberts

One student from our school will represent us in the 2021 WCPO 9 Regional Spelling Bee program, which will determine who moves on to the 2021 Scripps National Spelling Bee. With a winning word of hidalgo, fifth grade VLA student Madison Bell is our school-level champion!   She is a returning champion as she represented Waynesville Elementary last year as well!  We wish her luck in the next level of competition!
Congratulations to all of our school spelling bee participants who improved their spelling, increased their vocabularies, learned concepts, and developed correct English usage that will help them all their lives. We are all proud of your great achievements!
