WHS Blood Drive
Congratulations Waynesville on yet another successful Blood Drive. The Community Blood Center was super impressed with not only our school's ability to have so many selfless donations, but also the student support from our young community members. The blood donations from Waynesville High School will be used to save lives right in our community over the next few weeks at area hospitals.
Additionally, Waynesville High School has been recognized as a 2019-20 Red Cord Honor School. To earn a Red Cord status, it means that that we have students who aim to have a minimum of 3 blood donations by the time they graduate. When they accomplish this, they will be distinguished with a Red Cord during the graduation ceremonies to wear over their cap and gown.
Results:
- 47 people registered to give blood
- 40 were successful donations (30 was the goal)
- 133% percent of goal!
- 33 First Time Donors! WOW!
- Over 120 lives will be positively impacted as a result of total donations!
Thank you also to the staff members and additional community members who made a donation as well.
Overall, we had some amazing results and we should all be very proud of our super young adults!!!

Waynesville High School Student Council will be hosting the semi-annual Blood Drive on Friday, November 22nd.
Where: HS Gym
Time: 8am-11:30am
Pick up your permission form in the high school office or in the Media Center.
