The sixth grade students had an extraordinary experience this week in participating in community service events. Students visited Ohio Living Quaker Heights for rock painting and BINGO with the residents and also participated in school campus cleanup. The sixth graders also participated in a one day Character & Leadership Camp in which they experienced teamwork, communication, self-control and many other attributes. The zipline and confidence course was a huge success as many gained courage to climb the 40-foot tower and “zip” with the “three-at-a-time” zipline. Classmates encouraged each other to face their fears and helped each other through teamwork in negotiating the 6 different stations. The sixth graders were rewarded for their good deeds with ice cream provided by the District office.
Good luck to the Class of 2028 as you enter the Junior High!
