Canned Food Drive Results
In coordination with American Legion Post 615 and Waynesville Schools, boxes and boxes and BOXES of food have been collected. All of the donations collected directly benefit local families in need this holiday season, as well as stocking of the Waynesville Food Pantry for the upcoming year.
The trucks arrived after school today and the Athletics Department (basketball, football, and baseball) and Shield Club supplied the army of hands to help load onto the trucks, and then unload at the American Legion. From there, baskets will be filled for the holidays.
Seeing this party-sized room FILLED with food was overwhelming and could make any Grinch's heart grow 10 sizes. It was IMPRESSIVE!!! What you see in this photo is just a small portion of the quantities collected.

Wayne Local School is hosting a Canned Food Drive this December. The deadline to donate is December 16th.
There are many families right here in our community that could use a little extra help this holiday season, so we are asking that you donate to help them out. Each building has some specific friendly competition incentives that will be posted as the details become available.
High School - this is a 1st period contest to see what classrooms can collect the most.
Middle School - 7th period classes
Elementary School - watch for details in your email
So please start sending those food items... we want to really fill those food baskets!!!
