Congratulations National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalists
Eli Click, Dr. Ison and Landen Stricker
Waynesville High School has two seniors, William (Eli) Click and Landen Stricker, who have been selected to be one of the 16, 000 Semifinalist for the National Merit Scholarship Program. There were over 1.5 million students who entered the 20212 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT test in October of 2019 as a junior. After the submitting more detailed information from both students and an additional application with an essay from the student, a semifinalist may advance to the Finalist stage Around 15,000 of the 16,000 students usually do. Once at the finalist stage then the competition is narrowed to 2500 students Nationally who will be chosen in June as a National Merit Scholar.
