On March 1, 2022, while the juniors were taking the State Funded ACT test at WHS, the 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students had the opportunity to complete Community Service or a Job Shadow activity. Many students took advantage of this and worked towards their community service hours or gained valuable insight through a job shadow to learn about possible career paths.

Some of the companies that students attended for the job shadow experience were: Waynesville Fields Pharmacy, Dayton Children's Hospital, Lebanon City Schools, Dayton Children's, 4 Paws for Ability, Caesars Creek Park Ranger, Baldwin Orthodontist, Safe Skies Aviation, AFT Tool Company, and Cincinnati Children's Hospital.  Others choose to spend their time volunteering in our community. Some examples of this were:  cleaning headstones at Miami Valley Cemetery, spring cleaning and donating household goods to Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries, WHS baseball field clean up, trash clean up in our community and walking elderly neighbors' animals.

If you would like to open your company up to our students for various experiences, or have a community service activity for WHS students to participate in, please contact Waynesville High School at (513) 897-2776.
