U.S. News and World Report’s 2019 ranking of Best Public High Schools recognized several of the same local schools that generally score well on Ohio’s state report card

With Oakwood High School leading the way for the Dayton area; other recognized top achieving high schools were Bellbrook High School, Brookville High School, Centerville High School, Springboro High School and Waynesville High School.

The rankings work this way — 40% is based on how many students take and pass Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate tests, 30% on state test scores for poor and minority students, 20% on overall results of state math and reading tests, and 10% on graduation rate.

Congratulations to our High School students, staff and administration – Spartan Pride Community Wide!
