Waynesville 7th grade students recently visited Gem City Engineering to learn more about what Manufacturing Day represents. The students were taken on tours through the manufacturing facility and learned about all aspects of the manufacturing process and what different pieces of the process and important and why.
The tour guide engineers provided knowledge about education levels required for each position and average expected incomes per position. The company manufactures a wide variety of products, so the students were able to connect the dots to real life experiences.
Thank you to Gem City Engineering President Timothy O'Meara for allowing our students to visit, and for being so hospitable to our students and staff....even treating us to Papa John's pizza and cookies!
