As part of Ohio's Spring Severe Weather Awareness Week, the state's annual statewide tornado drill will be held on Wednesday, March 24th.

The sirens will be activated one time for three minutes. The test tone will be the same "tornado warning" tone that would be used in an actual tornado warning.

The siren activation at 9:50 a.m. will be in place of the regular weekly Wednesday noon test.

The statewide drill is part of Ohio's Spring Severe Weather Awareness Week, which runs from March 21-27. The purpose of Spring Severe Weather Awareness Week is to remind the public that with spring comes the possibility of tornadoes, thunderstorms, floods, hail, lightning strikes, and power outages.
